Fashion Month Hair Report
Fashion month is over and Spring is in the air! To celebrate, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite hairstyles hot off the runways to help inspire you to step into April with a fresh new look. Brushed out curls. A little frizzy and a little romantic, this style looks just as though you had a head full of ringlet curls and then took a brush to them. The models for Cynthia Rowley rocked this style, and we’re kinda’ into it too!
Hair accessories. From the gold barrettes in the Versace models’ hair to the flowers worn by Dolce and Gabbana’s girls, hair accessories had a major moment on the runways this year. Our takeaway? Don’t be afraid to pop a pretty gold or pearl barrett or a well placed bow as the crowning jewel of whatever style you choose to wear this season.
Texture, texture texture! From side braids to loose waves and nearly everything in between, one common theme we noticed this year was interesting texture in nearly every ‘do. Embrace your natural waves and let your hair down a little this season. If you tend to have straight, fine hair, add some interesting texture with a pretty baby braid or a fishtail.
Tucked back sweetness. How exciting is it when something most of us do in our everyday lives becomes a runway look? Well, pretty darn exciting, obvi! The models for Bottega Veneta sported styles tucked ever so sweetly behind the ears, and you bet it got our attention! Now we can do it on purpose, instead of out of habit. How great is that?
The messy low bun. Definitely not new, but we were loving this style on the Badgley Mischka ladies. Voluminous to look elegant but casual enough to look like you didn’t plan it at all. Wear it to an event or just a trip to the supermarket, and you’re sure to turn heads!
